Whole Community Catechesis
What is Whole Community Catechesis?
A great definition is at http://www.wholecommunitycatechesis.com/whatDEF.html.
Whole Community Catechesis Is Good for Children!
It’s great that we have so many children involved in our Faith Formation ministries here at QofA. But do you know what our Church teaches to be the CENTRAL catechetical activity in the Church, as well as the catechetical endeavor that helps children the most? It is Adult Faith Formation!
This is what Whole Community Catechesis seeks to help put back in the center of parish Catechesis: the faith formation of adults, who in turn help to catechize the children of the parish– their own, and others in the community. Whole Community Catechesis involves everyone in the parish– all interested parishioners, not just families with school-age children! We need YOU there!
Whole Community Catechesis will take place again at QofA during Lent, March 7 & 14, 9:30-10:30 AM each morning in the MAK Center. Come take advantage of our effort to move Catechesis out of the classroom and into the parish where it belongs!
