Welcome to Queen of the Apostles' Church!

I hope you will discover our website is a window into the life and ministry of a parish community that seeks by its everyday life to imitate the Gospel and offer the hospitality of Jesus to all we meet.

Queen of the Apostles, celebrating its

50th year in 2015, is a growing

community which offers a variety of

opportunities for young and old alike

to find nourishment, formation in the

faith and a life of worship and praise.

You will find in our many ministries

opportunities for formation in the faith

through adult learning programs as

well as faith formation and community

building for elementary, middle school

and high school aged youth.  We also

strive to “meet people where they are”

by providing reflection programs for

moms, dads, men and women and our

senior adults, too. At the same time

that we “reach inside” to nurture and

sustain the faith community, Queen of

the Apostles has a strong tradition of

also “reaching out” to serve the broader communities in which we live through care and commitment to Christian service. Our prayer is made practical in our outreach to children, homebound and those in material and financial need. Along with a variety of outreach opportunities that provide direct service to others, we have committed a tithe of 5% of our offertory each week to assist the work of up to 20 non-profit organizations in our area. On a monthly basis we also sponsor a food collection (the last full weekend of each month) to help the pantries of some of our local crisis assistance organizations.

In everything you find here – from KidZone to Meals on Wheels, from the celebration of the  Eucharist to Bible Study – you will find God’s love inviting you to a deeper walk with us as we seek to bring God’s reign into our little part of western North Carolina.

Learn what you can from these pages. Better still, come and see and journey with us. We believe we can enrich your faith and your presence with us will enrich ours.

Fraternally in the Lord:

Father Frank Cancro
