Coffee and Donuts
Coffee and Donuts
When you hear the words "Mass has ended," do you run to the car? Why not take a few minutes to stop by the MAK Family Life Center for some coffee, donuts, and conversation? This ministry was created to offer an opportunity to meet new people or spend tie in conversation with friends you only see once a week. There are always donuts, fresh fruit, coffee, and juices available for free (although donations are always welcome). Teams of people volunteer every couple of months to help set up, serve, and clean up. Brian Litfin (704.829.0460) is always looking for new volunteers and groups to help out. We currently only offer this opportunity following the 9:15 am Mass. Once we recruit enough teams for the 11:15 am Mass, we will being offering following that Mass as well.

Events Committee
Events Committee
All of the liturgical and social events that make Queen of the Apostles special take lots of hard work and often a lot of muscle to accomplish. Our parish has a team of young and old who step up to the plate when we need to raise a tent or move chairs. If you would be willing to stack some tables and chairs, move ladders and carry heavy things up and down stairs, we would love to meet you! You can volunteer by calling Dennis Kast in the parish office (704.825.9600) or by email.
Family Advent Wreath Making
Family Advent Wreath Making
Families gather the Sunday before Advent to create their own focal point for their family Advent celebrations. Each family makes a wreath complete with ribbon, fresh greenery, and four candles. It is a festive beginning to the season with cookies and punch, a craft for the children, and a blessing of the completed wreaths. Look for information in the November bulletins.

Gardening
Gardening
"There used to be a big circle of dirt and two trees" is how the ministry of the parish gardens began. Someone saw a need and took the challenge. Today, there are parishioners who help take care of the flowerbeds, but extra hands are always needed. We are all called to help with this ministry - if you see a week, pull it! Contact Monica Hoehne (email) to volunteer to be part of making our campus beautiful.

Rosary Makers
Rosary Makers
The rosary is an old and reliable form of prayer in our Catholic Tradition. Our Rosary Makers recognize the importance of this ritual prayer and work hard to promote it. The handmade rosaries are donated to Catholic missions, first-sacrament children, faith formation classes and are available in the Narthex of our church for parishioners. If you need a rosary, please take one. Do you need a rosary repaired? We can do it. Do you want to learn how to make a rosary? We will teach you. The needed supplies are provided. Once you learn, you can make the rosaries at home. We meet on the same Saturday morning as the Community Breakfasts. To join us learn how to make rosaries for donations, contact Jemi Mendoza by email.
