Sacrament Preparation
Reconciliation, First Eucharist, & Confirmation
Reconciliation, First Eucharist, & Confirmation
Preparation for sacraments (Reconciliation, Eucharist, and Confirmation) is done as a parish-wide process in addition to regular religion classes. Through the use of learning stations, family programs, and retreats, parish children are immersed in faith-growing opportunities. It takes a team of idea-oriented people to prepare and implement the programs. Pray to the Holy Spirit about becoming a part of the sacrament formation teams. Contact Reina Chicas by phone (704.826.9600, x108) or email for First Penance and First Eucharist. Contact Anthony Beauregard, Directory of Family and Youth Discipleship at 704.825.9600 or by email for Confirmation.
OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation for Adults)
OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation for Adults)
Becoming a Catholic is a program rich with rituals and traditions. A group of interested adults engage in conversation, ask questions, discuss issues, break open the Word, and learn about the Catholic Church's history, symbols, and rituals, as well as what we believe. They then fully enter into a period of enlightenment as they prepare for their initiation into the Church during the Easter Vigil. If you are interested in joining OCIA, or know someone who might be, please contact the church office. Members are also needed to be part of the support time. For more information contact the church office at 704.825.9600 email Chrissy Glisson.

Baptismal Preparation
Baptismal Preparation
Baptism is celebrated on Saturday mornings. Parents wishing to present a child (under sever years of age) for Baptism must complete a preparation program. At this time, our program is an at-home pamphlet and video basis preparation using Formed, a Catholic video service which the parish has subscribed to for its members. During pregnancy or after the birth of a child are appropriate times to complete the preparation. Please call the church office at 704.825.9600 for more information and to receive a packet.
